Udalova In continuation of the comprehensive research devoted to the formation and development of scientific schools of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, a review of scientific works performed at the Department of Oil and Gas Technology of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University in the period 1950–2020’s was conducted. The results of scientific activity of prominent scientists-teachers of the department are presented. It is shown that scientific research has always been aimed at solving urgent problems of oil refining and petrochemistry. The modern directions of research are characterized, the main task of which is complex oil refining and reducing the environmental burden on the environment as a result of the production and consumption of products of processing of hydrocarbon raw materials.
