THE FOUNDER OF BIOTELEMETRY ALEXANDER ALEXANDROVICH YUSHCHENKO (1898–1934): BIOGRAPHY OUTLINE AND MATERIALS FOR BIBLIOGRAPHY |
A.V. Vladzymyrskyy
Name Alexander A. Yushchenko is repeatedly mentioned in scientific papers in the field of biotelemetry in connection with the creation of the world’s first system for transmission of biomedical data via radio. This system allowed creating a fundamentally new methodology for a physiological experiment (the study of a biological object in natural conditions). At the same time, the details of the life and scientific activity of this scientist are practically unknown. Our work allows us to fill this gap by searching for and systematizing archival and other materials. The publication for the first time presents a bibliographic list of works by A.A. Yushchenko: a student of famous scientists academician I.P. Pavlov, professors L.A. Orbeli and N.I. Krasnogorsky, then – professor, head of the physiological department of the Institute of Higher Nervous Activity of the Communist Academy. The structured list of papers reflects the three main stages of the short but very bright scientific
life of A.A. Yushchenko.
Keywords: biotelemetry, physiology, A.A. Yushchenko, bibliography, biography, Institute of Higher Nervous Activity, Communist Academy, radio, telemedicine.
