History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back History of the Creation of the First Gas Cylinder Cars in Our Country Dadilov A.S. Currently, the market for cars using natural gas as fuel is characterized by the most developing segment in the automotive industry. The main factors that determine the spread of the use of gaseous fuel in cars are the low cost of operating a gas-cylinder car and the low toxicity of exhaust gases compared to cars running on gasoline and diesel fuels. But at fi rst, the main reason that prompted not only the USSR, but also other countries, to create and develop gas-powered cars was the acute shortage of gasoline, which was a consequence of the First World War. And the period of the beginning of the creation and production of the fi rst gas-cylinder cars in our country can be considered the 30s of the 20th century.
