The article analyzes the process of the emergence and development of Arabic-language historical literature in Dagestan in the pre-revolutionary period, which are of great interest for studying the history and culture of Dagestan. The main monuments of Arabic literature of Dagestan origin are highlighted, their thematic analysis is carried out, and their features in the historical context are studied.
