History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Creative Activities of Scientists of Armenian Origin in the Development of Veterinary Science and Practice in Russia Pogosyan D.G. Relevance and objectives. The purpose of the research was to establish the contribution of scientists of Armenian origin in the fi eld of domestic veterinary science. Materials and methods. In preparing the article, historical and analytical research methods from bibliographic data of scientists available in the information environment, reference books, encyclopedias, scientific publications were used. Results. The activities of scientists of Armenian origin are shown in such areas of veterinary science as mycology, hematology, parasitology, immunology, microbiology, epizootology, sanitation, etc. Historically, a number of major scientists were the founders of scientific directions, they stood at the origins of the creation and headed not only laboratories and departments, but also research institutions. The article briefl y outlines the main stages of the creative path of scientists, their scientific achievements and State awards, places of work, the number of published works.
