History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Psychological Research of Flight Personnel at the State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation in 1960–1970 Ryzhkova S.A. The article examines the key points in the development of the Russian system of psychological selection of aircraft flight personnel, from the first observations made in the early 20th century to complex techniques developed in the second half of the 20th century. Special attention is paid to the work of the State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation, which was conducted in this direction in the 1960s and 1970s. Based on the institute's documents introduced into scientific circulation, it is concluded that the importance of psychological selection of pilots and the improvement of its implementation methods.
