Starodubtsev In article historical development of one of the major directions in hydroacoustics – coastal and stationary passive systems of illumination of underwater conditions on Pacific ocean is considered. Characteristics of the armed Navies of Russia and Naval Forces of the USA of coastal passive means of distant hydroacoustic detection are short resulted.
