Maximenko Сlose collaborator of V.I.Veksler in the work on accelerator construction in Lebedev Institute A.A. Kolomensky recalls about his coming to the institute after his serving in the army in 1946, about his first acquaintance with Veksler and how the work with accelerators started. First was the task of building synchrotron on 30 MeV, then microtron, but the main was the problem of making project for synchrophasotron for Dubna on 10 GeV, Kolomensky describes very vividly the characteristic features of Veksler behavior, style and manner of his work. He also emphasize Veksler energy and insistence.
