History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Science in Tatarstan During the Great Patriotic War A.Sh. Kabirova The contribution to victory over Nazism made by scientific institutions and scientists that worked in Tatarstan during the war is described. Already in summer of 1941 the majority of academic institutions from Moscow and Leningrad were evacuated to the rear, and many institutes and laboratories were concentrated in Kazan. The sources used in the article speak volumes for fruitful work of metropolitan and Tatarstan scientists whose creativity was aimed at speedly destruction of the enemy.
