Preparation of Territory of Rybinsk and Uglichsky Water Basins for Flooding (1936–1940) E.A. Burdin In article on the basis of the numerous unpublished archival documents and other sources process of preparation of Verhnevolzhsky water basins to flooding in 1936–1940. During this period were carried out large-scale actions, basic of which were population resettlement, carrying over of structures, engineering protection of impounded cities, deforestation and sanitary clearing. Absence of wide the experience and the huge sizes of flooding have caused great difficulties in preparation realisation water basins which mechanism should be developed and improved the accelerated rates.
