History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Influence of the Volga Hydroknots on the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Volga Region E.A. Burdin In article on the basis of an extensive file of sources the problem of influence of hydro knots of the Volga cascade on a historical and cultural heritage of the people of the Volga region is considered. Its analysis has shown, what in 1930–1970 th the overwhelming majority of material and non-material objects in flooding zones was not studied and has been lost. In the worst position there were monuments of civil and cult architecture, the former manors of noble family and other forms of a heritage, in the best – аrcheology monuments. For the purpose of carrying out of security-saving researches during this period expeditions were specially created, which have managed to rescue partially valuable archaeological materials on stories of the people of the Volga pool, and also have given a powerful impulse to the further studying of region.
