History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back The History of Incipiency of Schools of Electrtechnical Thought in the Russian Navy P.E. Vаlivаch The role of the Naval Architecture School founded by Emperor Paul I in 1798 has been especially emphasized. The significance of B.S. Jakobi’s activities aimed at training expert electrician for the Army and creating the first special Army Electrotechnical School (the starting point of electrotechnical education in Russia) has been demonstrated. Graphics permit one to visualize the dynamics of the principal stages of incipiency of schools of electrotechnical thought in Russia and the didactic contribution of scientists specializing in electric engineering to their development.
