HISTORY OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHES AS THE BASE OF EDUCATIONAL CONTENT IN TEACHING THE ELEMENTS OF THE THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE SECONDARY SCHOOL. ROBERT BROWN’S DISCOVERY |

The studies of Robert Brown, Scottish botanist, discovered to the World the phenomenon, which is a bridge between the micro- and macrocosm. The value of this discovery cannot be overestimated for the history of physics. However, it is of great interest and for the methods of teaching pupils the basics of theory of scientifi c knowledge. The article deals with the problem of selection and adaptation of historic researches in order to create educational content in teaching the elements of the theory of knowledge in the secondary school. R. Brown’s discovery is presented in the form of successive steps, each which is illustrated by excerpts from his articles, supplemented, in some cases, by fragments of scientifi c and popular works of that period.
