FROM THE HISTORY OF SOVIET AUTOMOBILIZATION (20–70s) OF THE 20th CENTURY |
A.S. Dadilov, Z.Z. Muradov, R.Ya. Magomedov, Yu.G. Yusupov
In the formation of the infrastructure economy of the Russian Federation and the social sphere of the state, accompanying the overall development of the country, the development of road transport traditionally plays one of the leading roles. Horse-drawn transport, which provided the Russian transport fleet at the beginning of the 1920s, was responsible for 95 percent of freight traffic and about half of all passenger traffic. As a result, this was reflected in the functional requirements for the design and direct construction of road overpasses, which imply the priority establishment of road communication not of a mainline, but of a local nature, due to the problem of non-stop movement of goods by horse-drawn transport over a considerable distance. An attempt at scientific analysis proposed in this study, in accordance with the stated theses, brings clarity to the understanding of the history of the development of road construction and motor transport in the USSR.
Keywords: transport industry in Russia, transport of the USSR, development of road transport, history of road transport, road construction.
